Composer and music producer Sneha Khanwalkar is set to bring a festive spin to Diwali with the standalone music video of ‘Puranpoli’, a track from Lust Stories 3. Scheduled to release on October 28, the video features Vijay Varma, filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, Kratex and Ganesh Chandanshive alongside Khanwalkar.
Originally featured in Motwane’s segment in Lust Stories 3, ‘Puranpoli’ is now moving beyond the film to reach audiences through a dedicated music video. Driven by upbeat rhythms and a playful musical identity, the track aims to capture the celebratory mood of the festive season.
Named after the traditional Maharashtrian sweet flatbread, ‘Puranpoli’ draws on the spirit of Indian festivities, bringing together diverse musical influences in a composition designed to get listeners dancing.
Speaking about the release, Khanwalkar said, “‘Puranpoli’ has a very playful and infectious energy to it, and I love how the song brings together different musical influences with a sense of fun. With Diwali around the corner, it felt like the perfect time to take it beyond the film and bring it to audiences as a standalone music video. The idea is to get people to let go, enjoy themselves and simply dance. Having Vijay, Vikramaditya, Kratex and Ganesh Chandanshive come together for the video makes the experience even more special. I hope it becomes a part of everyone’s festive celebrations.”
The standalone release extends the track’s presence beyond its original cinematic context, positioning it as a festive offering centred on music, dance and cultural celebration.
With its distinctive sound and an ensemble featuring performers and filmmakers, ‘Puranpoli’ is set to join the season’s musical celebrations when its video premieres on October 28.
