JBL has announced the opening of applications for the JBL Music Academy Class of 2026, continuing its mission to support and develop emerging music talent through a mentorship-led learning platform. Now in its fourth year, the programme is being hosted once again at STMPD Studios in Amsterdam, the record label founded by global electronic music star Martin Garrix.
The academy offers aspiring musicians, songwriters and producers access to a series of workshops, mentorship sessions and networking opportunities designed to help them navigate the music industry and advance their careers. Participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from Martin Garrix and other leading industry professionals while connecting with fellow emerging artists from around the world.
Over the years, JBL has expanded its support for artists beyond the academy itself, providing alumni with opportunities to perform at major industry events such as Tomorrowland, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and Club JBL showcases in London and Amsterdam.
The programme has already produced several notable success stories. Earlier this year, Martin Garrix collaborated with academy alumnus Lofin, helping transform an original demo into a fully produced release alongside collaborators Mark Otton and Frank van Essen.
Another alumnus, Merow, who was part of the inaugural JBL Music Academy cohort, has continued to gain international recognition following her signing with STMPD RCRDS. Since completing the programme, she has performed globally and built a growing fanbase through her energetic productions and live performances.
Commenting on the launch of the new edition, Martin Garrix, JBL Global Brand Ambassador, said, “The JBL Music Academy has always been about creating opportunities. Each year, we are inspired by the talented artists that walk through our doors, and I am very proud of the platform we have built to support their growth and success. We can’t wait to meet the Class of 2026.”
Applications are open to artists from Europe, Asia, India (excluding Tamil Nadu), Australia, the United States, Brazil and Argentina. Interested applicants are required to submit an application form, a motivational video and up to three original music tracks that best represent their artistic identity.
The application deadline is August 14, 2026. The shortlisted candidates will be announced on September 3, with finalists revealed on September 24.
The JBL Music Academy continues to position itself as a platform for nurturing the next generation of music creators, offering education, mentorship and career-building opportunities that extend well beyond the duration of the programme.
