Gurugram: Police Raid Clubs Over Loud Music Beyond Permitted Hours

Gurugram police conducted late-night raids at two clubs in Sectors 61 and 58 for allegedly playing loud music beyond permitted hours, following repeated complaints from local residents.

Officials said the action was triggered by disturbances reported over the weekend, with residents alleging that high-volume music continued well past midnight, disrupting sleep in nearby housing societies.

During the inspections, police teams found both establishments operating without valid permissions to play music after the stipulated 10 pm deadline. Sound systems, including DJ mixers and speakers, were seized from the premises.

Authorities have issued legal notices to the club owners under relevant provisions, directing them to appear before a magistrate. Police officials reiterated that strict action will be taken against venues violating noise pollution norms and operating without licences.

The crackdown highlights increasing enforcement in Gurugram’s nightlife sector, particularly in response to resident complaints around late-night disturbances.
