Delhi Police Issues Traffic Advisory Ahead Of Diljit Dosanjh’s JLN Stadium Concert

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of singer Diljit Dosanjh’s live concert at Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium on October 30, warning commuters of possible traffic restrictions and diversions across several key stretches in the national capital.

The restrictions will remain in force from 1 PM to midnight to manage traffic movement around the concert venue and surrounding areas.

According to the advisory, traffic movement is likely to be affected on Bhishm Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg (between Defence Colony Flyover and Lodhi Colony Flyover), Arch Bishop Marg, 4th Avenue Road and 5th Avenue Road.

Internal roads of the CGO Complex, areas surrounding JLN Stadium, Barapullah Flyover between INA and Jangpura Metro Station Gate No. 2, Dayal Singh College Road and internal roads of Lodhi Colony may also experience congestion.

The Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance, avoid roads around the stadium wherever possible and use public transport to minimise inconvenience.

Metro Services Extended To Manage Concert Rush

In view of the expected footfall, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced extended train services across its network. Metro operations on all lines, except the Airport Express Line, will continue until midnight on October 30.

Additional train trips will be operated to facilitate the smooth dispersal of concertgoers after the event. Standby trains will also be kept ready to manage any unexpected surge in passenger traffic.

Concert attendees travelling on the Violet Line can use JLN Stadium or Jangpura Metro stations to access Gates 13, 14 and 17. Those using the Yellow Line can alight at INA or Jor Bagh Metro stations.

The Delhi Traffic Police has urged motorists to follow diversion signs, cooperate with traffic personnel deployed in the area and remain patient during the restrictions.
