Ajay Bijli Makes His Music Debut With New Wedding Anthem ‘Dil Kare Haaye Haaye’

Ajay Bijli has ventured into music with his debut three-song EP, On Another Note…, released in August 2026. Marking his foray as an independent artist, the project stems from his personal passion for music and features compositions by Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Shellee. The EP is distributed by Warner Music India and explores themes of hope, gratitude and celebration.

The EP opened with Rab Rakhda, a song centred on faith and optimism. The second track, Dil Kare Haaye Haaye, released on September 4, celebrates the energy and togetherness of Indian weddings and festivities.

Composed by Amit Trivedi and penned by Shellee, the song's music video has been directed by filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, with choreography by Ganesh Acharya. The video presents Bijli in a vibrant and contemporary avatar, reflecting the song's celebratory spirit.

Speaking about the track, Bijli said, “Dil Kare Haaye Haaye is a song about the wonderful way we celebrate. It is a quintessential Indian wedding song, the kind that makes you want to sing, dance, and then sing a little louder.”

Mehra described Bijli as “a natural and gifted singer”, while Acharya said the song captures the “energy, warmth, and beautiful chaos” of Indian weddings.

Trivedi said the track has an “infectious energy” and could become a soundtrack for weddings, parties and celebrations. Shellee described it as a “quirky, fun-loving song” capturing the laughter, humour and madness associated with Indian marriage celebrations.
