As live music increasingly influences how young Indians plan their travel, Airbnb is leaning into the intersection of culture, concerts and local discovery. With 77% of Gen Z in India expected to plan trips around music festivals and concerts in 2026, the platform has unveiled a new immersive experience tied to its global partnership with Lollapalooza.
As part of this collaboration, Airbnb has teamed up with actor, musician and cultural tastemaker Siddhant Chaturvedi to launch Lolla India Like a Local, an exclusive Airbnb Original Experience in Mumbai, curated around the city that shaped him.
Designed as an intimate, one-day journey, the experience offers guests a rare opportunity to explore Mumbai through Siddhant’s personal lens, from neighbourhoods and food to music and creative spaces, before culminating at Lollapalooza India, where participants will attend the festival alongside him.
At the centre of the collaboration is The Mumbai Guidebook, a digital city guide curated by Siddhant for travellers visiting Mumbai during Lollapalooza India 2026. Drawing from his own connection to the city, the guide highlights handpicked neighbourhoods, local hangouts and select Airbnb stays that reflect Mumbai’s character and rhythm. With 76% of Gen Z travellers in India saying they’ve visited a city for the first time because of a concert or festival, the guidebook aims to help fans extend their trips and experience Mumbai beyond the festival grounds.
Limited to just four guests, the experience brings the guidebook to life. Participants will spend the day exploring Siddhant’s favourite food spots, walking through Bandra’s historic Ranwar Village, and attending an intimate jam session where he performs an original track inspired by Mumbai. The day concludes at Lollapalooza India, sharing the live music experience together.
“Mumbai has shaped everything about me,from the music I make to the places I keep coming back to,” Siddhant said, describing the experience as a way of welcoming guests into his version of the city, rooted in everyday moments and creative energy.
The initiative builds on Airbnb’s first-ever global live music partnership with Lollapalooza India 2026, which includes a slate of exclusive, festival-led Airbnb Experiences ,from artist-hosted sessions to behind-the-scenes access, designed to bring fans closer to the music and culture they travel for.
For Airbnb, the collaboration reflects a larger shift in travel behaviour. “Live music may spark the journey, but it’s local neighbourhoods, hosts and shared moments that make it memorable,” said Amanpreet Bajaj, Country Head for India and Southeast Asia at Airbnb.
Together, the experience signals how music-led travel in India is evolving, from attending festivals to fully inhabiting the culture around them.
