Mahindra announced the return of the Mahindra Blues Festival, one of Mumbai’s most enduring cultural events and Asia’s largest celebration of the blues. The 14th edition of the festival will be held on February 14 and 15, 2026, at the iconic Mehboob Studios in Bandra,a venue that has become synonymous with the event’s soulful atmosphere over the years.
Mahindra, long known for its support of Indian crafts and cultural preservation, has used the festival to nurture a thriving blues community in the country for more than 13 years. Since its inception, the festival has showcased the depth and resilience of the genre, which traces its roots to the Mississippi Delta and Chicago but resonates far beyond its origins.
Artists such as Buddy Guy, Ruthie Foster, Robert Randolph, Blackstratblues, Kanchan Daniel and several others have helped shape the festival’s identity, bringing global and homegrown blues traditions to Mumbai’s diverse music landscape. The upcoming edition will once again feature artists committed to preserving and expanding the legacy of the blues.
Along with its marquee performances, the Mahindra Blues Festival also continues its initiatives aimed at fostering the next generation of talent and extending social impact. These include the annual Band Hunt competition, which spotlights emerging blues acts, and support for Project Nanhi Kali, which works toward the education of underprivileged girls.
Promising evenings filled with emotion, musical excellence and a celebration of the transformative power of the blues, the festival is expected to be a major highlight of Mumbai’s 2026 cultural calendar. Further details, including the artist lineup, will be announced soon.
