The countdown is on for Kappa CULTR 2026, Kerala’s largest electronic music festival, set to kick off in just a few days, promising a vibrant mix of sound, creativity, and culture. The three-day festival will take place from February 20 to 22 in Kochi, bringing together music lovers and creative communities from across India and beyond.
Now in its third edition, Kappa CULTR is designed as a multi-sensory cultural playground that goes well beyond traditional music performances. Alongside sets from 27 global and homegrown artists, the festival will feature immersive art installations by collectives such as House of Glow, Chuvar Picture, and Pachhakuth, transforming the venue into a dynamic visual canvas.
Food enthusiasts can look forward to a globally inspired culinary village curated by renowned creator Alex Jo Scaria, showcasing more than 30 stalls with flavours ranging from Portuguese and Dutch to Mexican and American classics, adding a rich layer of cultural depth to the experience.
Fashion and creative expression will also play a key role at the festival, with interactive experiences such as jewellery-making workshops, live jacket painting and outfit customisation zones presented in collaboration with homegrown label Strada Sutairu.
For attendees seeking play and engagement beyond music and art, Kappa CULTR 2026 introduces dedicated gaming arenas and experiential zones. The Versus Gaming Arcade brings arcade and console culture into the mix, while activity spaces co-created with Eru. Play x Kahbrew will feature slacklining, unicycling, poi spinning and balance board challenges, blending movement, play and community energy throughout the festival grounds.
Mayura Shreymas Kumar, Founder of Kappa CULTR and Director of Digital Business at Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Co Ltd, said the festival aims to “redefine scale and possibility for Kerala’s creative scene,” offering a platform where electronic music culture converges with local talent and artistic diversity. Festival founder and operations head Devika Shreyams Kumar added that the 2026 edition is crafted to “position Kerala on the festival map” while celebrating varied perspectives under one roof.
More than just a music festival, Kappa CULTR 2026 promises to be a celebration of creative convergence, where beats, brushstrokes, fashion, games and global cuisine come together in a shared cultural experience.
