Taipei Philharmonic And Neemrana Music Foundation Bring Musical Treasures To India Habitat Centre

In a grand showcase titled “Eastern & Western Music Treasures”, the Taipei Philharmonic Foundation for Culture and Education, in collaboration with The Neemrana Music Foundation and supported by Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, will present a special concert on October 1, 2024, at 7:00 PM at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The concert will feature more than 50 singers from both the choirs (Taiwan and India), who will come together to perform a diverse musical repertoire. The program will highlight a fusion of Western classical music, Indian melodies, and Taiwanese musical traditions, symbolizing the rich cultural exchange between both nations.

Ferdinand Ta-Ming Ting, Executive Director of the Taipei Philharmonic Foundation, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, saying, “Music transcends borders and through this collaboration, we hope to deepen the cultural bond between Taiwan and India. This joint concert represents a meaningful exchange of artistic traditions, and we look forward to creating new memories that honor the spirit of our friendship.”

Founded in 1988, the Taipei Philharmonic Foundation has been at the forefront of cultivating young Taiwanese musicians and elevating the artistic standards of Taiwan. With performances in over 30 countries, the foundation has established itself as a global ambassador of Taiwanese music, contributing to international cultural exchanges.

The Neemrana Music Foundation, based in New Delhi, has been instrumental in promoting Western classical music in India and training young singers and musicians into professional artists. Aude Priya Wacziarg, Managing Trustee of The Neemrana Music Foundation, said, “This concert is a beautiful testament to the longstanding cultural and diplomacies between India and Taiwan. We are honoured to collaborate with the Taipei Philharmonic Foundation in this historic celebration, bringing together our musicians to highlight the power of music in fostering mutual understanding and friendship.”

The concert promises to be an evening of musical excellence, blending the voices of 60 talented singers from India and Taiwan. Audiences will be treated to a unique musical experience that merges Western classical traditions with the distinct sounds of Indian and Taiwanese music, celebrating the enduring friendship between the two nations.
