Sufi Heritage Festival 2026 Returns To Sunder Nursery This February

The historic gardens of Sunder Nursery are set to come alive once again as the Sufi Heritage Festival 2026 returns for a two-day celebration of music, poetry, craft, storytelling and cultural exchange from February 28 to March 1, 2026.

Conceptualised as a cultural gathering rooted in the inclusive and humanistic values of Sufism, the festival offers an immersive programme that blends ancient artistic traditions with contemporary expressions. It aims to create a shared space where heritage feels alive and dialogue flows freely between past and present.

Visitors can expect a rich lineup of music and performance across multiple stages. The Samaa stage will feature soul-stirring Sufi music, qawwali, ghazals and movement traditions, while the Bebaak stage will spotlight poetry, spoken word, dastangoi and modern narrative forms inspired by Sufi themes.

The festival goes beyond performances with participatory elements that encourage deeper engagement. Through workshops and craft sessions , known as Kargaah , attendees can explore traditional arts such as calligraphy, storytelling techniques and other heritage crafts guided by master artisans.

Food and community also feature prominently at the festival. A culinary zone will offer heritage-inspired flavours and dishes that reflect the communal dining traditions central to Sufi culture. Meanwhile, the Sufi Bazaar will host a curated marketplace of handcrafted textiles, artisanal products, perfumes and sustainable design pieces by Indian makers.

The festival welcomes art lovers, families, travellers and anyone curious about cultural heritage, offering an experience that blends performance, reflection and discovery over two days in one of Delhi’s most serene heritage settings.
