Seedhe Maut To Headline India Rising: Road To EWC Gaming Festival In Mumbai

India Rising: Road to EWC, the esports and gaming festival launched by JioBLAST and the Esports Foundation (EF) ahead of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026, has announced that acclaimed hip-hop duo Seedhe Maut will perform live at the event on July 4, 2026, at the JioWorld Convention Centre in Mumbai.

The announcement further positions India Rising: Road to EWC as a youth culture-driven entertainment property that extends beyond esports, bringing together gaming, creators, music and live fan experiences under one roof.

The one-day festival will feature esports competitions across Chess, VALORANT and MOBA Legends: 5v5!, alongside creator showcases, gaming zones, cosplay experiences and live entertainment. Seedhe Maut will headline the music segment of the event, adding a strong cultural dimension to the gaming festival.

Commenting on the announcement, Charlie Cowdrey, CEO of JioBLAST, said that gaming today exists at the intersection of competition, creators, music and digital culture.

“India Rising: Road to EWC has been designed as more than just an esports tournament; it is a platform built around how young audiences engage with entertainment today. Seedhe Maut represents a strong voice within India’s youth culture ecosystem, and bringing them into India Rising: Road to EWC helps us create a more immersive and culturally relevant live experience for gaming fans,” he said.

Speaking about the collaboration, Seedhe Maut said, “Gaming, livestream culture and music audiences overlap more than ever today, and that energy is something we connect with strongly. We're excited to be a part of the India Rising: Road to EWC Gaming Festival and perform in front of the crowd that lives and breathes this culture.”

Beyond entertainment, the festival will also host the India Rising: Road to EWC Chess LAN Finale, where Indian Grandmaster Vidit Gujrathi will face Dutch Grandmaster Benjamin Bok for a chance to qualify for the Esports World Cup 2026 Chess competition in Paris later this year.

Designed as a celebration of gaming, entertainment and community, the event aims to bring together players, creators, fans and industry stakeholders for a festival experience that reflects the evolving nature of youth entertainment.

India Rising: Road to EWC is being developed as a long-term esports and entertainment platform connected to the Esports World Cup ecosystem. The initiative seeks to create greater opportunities for Indian players, creators and gaming communities while combining competitive gaming with mainstream entertainment experiences.
