Feeding India, a not-for-profit organisation, along with District by Zomato, the going-out platform, has announced the third edition of the Feeding India Concert 2026. In a historic first for the initiative, global pop icon and multiple Grammy Award winner Shakira will headline shows in Mumbai on April 10 and in Delhi on April 15, marking the first time the concert will be held across multiple cities.
The shows are presented by HSBC India and will be produced and exclusively ticketed by District by Zomato.
After years of anticipation, the Colombian superstar returns to India, where fans have long awaited the chance to witness her electrifying live performance. Beyond the spectacle, her participation is expected to significantly amplify the national dialogue around hunger and malnutrition.
Commenting on the announcement, Shakira said, “Performing in India has always been special to me, and I'm excited to connect with my fans across Mumbai and Delhi. The Feeding India Concert is about more than music; it's about standing together to ensure every child has access to the nutrition they need to thrive."
The expansion into two cities reflects the growing momentum behind one of India’s most impactful music-for-change initiatives. Over its previous editions, the concert has brought together artists, philanthropists, changemakers and citizens in a shared mission of achieving Zero Hunger by 2030.
Known for chart-topping anthems such as Hips Don't Lie, Whenever, Wherever and the World Cup phenomenon Waka Waka, Shakira remains one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Through her Barefoot Foundation, she has championed education and child welfare for vulnerable communities worldwide, a mission closely aligned with the Feeding India Concert’s vision of a hunger- and malnutrition-free nation.
Rahul Ganjoo, CEO, District by Zomato, described the announcement as a milestone moment. “This is a defining moment for the Feeding India Concert. Bringing an artist of Shakira's global stature to two cities represents our commitment to scaling impact while delivering world-class entertainment. Music has the unique power to unite people across boundaries, and we're leveraging that to drive meaningful conversations that can transform lives. This is what the Feeding India Concert stands for: experiences that move you emotionally while moving the needle on hunger,” he said.
The Feeding India Concert is a community-driven initiative designed to accelerate progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030. The organisation addresses hunger and malnutrition through large-scale systemic interventions in partnership with government bodies, direct meal support to low-income government and non-government schools, and a youth-led volunteer movement that raises awareness and drives action across communities.
The 2026 edition will take place on:
-April 10, 2026: Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Mumbai
-April 15, 2026: Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi
