TuneCore, a self-service artist distribution platform under Believe ownership, has joined forces with PreSonus, an audio software company, to streamline the music distribution process for artists.
Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, PreSonus Audio Electronics specializes in designing and manufacturing recording and live-sound hardware and software solutions for musicians, content creators, producers, and audio engineers.
In a joint announcement on Tuesday (April 2), the companies revealed that TuneCore's technology has been integrated with PreSonus Studio One, allowing creators using this platform to distribute their music directly to digital stores and streaming platforms worldwide, all within the Studio One interface.
TuneCore offers a range of services including distribution, publishing administration, and promotional support. Through its distribution services, artists can sell their music on major stores and streaming platforms while retaining full ownership.
The integration now enables Studio One users to establish a TuneCore artist account, verify their music's metadata, and distribute it to digital stores and streaming platforms directly within Studio One. PreSonus describes Studio One as a "powerful music creation ecosystem" with professional software, exclusive content, and an active user base.
To commemorate the partnership, Studio One+ subscribers joining TuneCore will receive a 50% discount on their first year of Rising, Breakout, or Professional plans. Existing TuneCore artists will also enjoy a 25% discount on their first year of Studio One+ Hybrid.
Andreea Gleeson, Chief Executive Officer of TuneCore, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, "As part of our ongoing mission to make artists’ lives easier, we are excited to partner with PreSonus to streamline the distribution process for Studio One users, allowing them to send their music to stores and streaming platforms as soon as they finish recording in their DAW."
She added, "By eliminating artists’ need to reupload their music on a different platform from where it was created, we are enabling them to spend less time on administrative tasks and more time making music."
The partnership marks TuneCore's continued efforts to support artists, following the recent launch of Release Tracker last month to enhance transparency in digital distribution. Additionally, in February, TuneCore collaborated with Amazon Music UK to provide 12 independent artists with free studio time at Metropolis Studios, one of Europe's top recording facilities.
The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the second half of 2025.
