Ashit Kukian, CEO Of Radio City, Sheds Light On The Everlasting Charm Of Radio On World Radio Day 2024

In a world buzzing with technology and non-stop information, there's something special about the timeless magic of radio. Ashit Kukian, the CEO of Radio City, believes in the power of radio and its ability to adapt and evolve. On World Radio Day 2024, he shares his thoughts on the importance of innovation, the joy of celebrating '100 saal radiopanti ke!' and the exciting journey of radigitalization.

"Radio is resilient and constantly evolving," says  Kukian, emphasizing the enduring strength of this classic medium. In a world where trends come and go, radio remains a steadfast companion, entertaining and informing millions around the globe. To stay ahead of the game,  Kukian believes in the necessity of innovating relevant strategies, ensuring that radio continues to be a relevant and beloved part of people's lives.

This year's World Radio Day holds special significance for Radio City as they celebrate '100 saal radiopanti ke!' – a century of radio magic. The key to this celebration lies in the radigitalization approach adopted by Radio City. Radigitalization is a blend of 'radio' and 'digitalization,' showcasing the station's commitment to embracing the digital age. This approach has allowed Radio City to reach beyond the 39 locations where it operates, bringing the joy of radio to a wider audience through digital platforms.

"Digital platforms have broadened radio's reach and enabled us to expand beyond the 39 locations in which we currently operate,"  Kukian explains. The advent of digital technology has transformed the way we experience radio, making it more accessible and versatile. Whether you're at home, in the car, or on the go, radio can now be with you anytime, anywhere.

What makes radio so special, according to Kukian, is its local flavor,”He reveals that approximately 88% of Millennials and Gen Xers tune in because of this local connection. Radio becomes a familiar voice, a friend in the neighborhood, sharing stories and experiences that resonate with the community. This local touch makes radio not just a source of information but a reliable and engaging medium.”

As India's first private radio station, Radio City has been a trailblazer for the past 24 years.  Kukian expresses confidence in the station's ability to continue entertaining and inspiring listeners in the years to come. "We are convinced that Radio City will continue to entertain and inspire its listeners throughout the years to come," he affirms, highlighting the enduring legacy of this iconic station.

So, as we celebrate World Radio Day in 2024, let's join Radio City in applauding '100 saal radiopanti ke!' and embracing the journey. In a world of constant change, radio remains a timeless companion, promising to entertain, inspire, and connect for many more years to come.
