The global Indian extravaganza IIFA comes home in its 20th edition celebrating 20 years of Indian cinema bringing back it's global glitter to the tinsel town the city of dreams 'Mumbai' with an exotic line up of music performances, fashion shows and sizzling stars like never before. Those who walked the green carpet, as IIFA supports going green in its environmentally friendly initiatives, certainly enthralled the Mumbaikars at IIFA Rocks 2019 held at Dome at NSCI, SVP Stadium in Mumbai. The star-studded night saw a galaxy of Bollywood Celebrities namely Ramesh  Sippy with wife Kiran Sippy, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Richa Chuddha the show was hosted by Ali Fazal and Radhika Apte... Loudest.in caught Tulsi Kumar, Shalmali kholgade, Sriram Raghavan to talk about what IIFA's homecoming means to them, nominations this year in a quick chit chat before the event. Some glimpses of the show… Tulsi Kumar sharing her excitement about IIFA homecoming at the green carpet said, “IIFA has come to Amchi Mumbai after traveling the whole world practically to celebrate 20 years in Mumbai this year. I am super excited because of two reasons, one is that I am nominated this year and other being that I am performing at the IIFA Rocks night where I will be performing on the medley of my latest songs like Tera ban Jaunga, Soch Na Sake and likes. I think IIFA Rocks is a great platform dedicated to musicians. I’ll try to give my 200 percent to the performance and hope my fans and listeners will love it.” Walking the green carpet, the Women in Red singer Shalmali kholgade speaking about her IIFA experiences says, “Well I have been really lucky that since I have stepped in Bollywood I have been to Tampa, Bangkok last year, along with a whole bunch of other places for IIFA and I was hoping that it should happen in Mumbai once. I am the part of Salim Suleman’s act at IIFA Rocks this year which is the finale of the entire show. It gives me a lot of joy in sharing the space with a lot of spectacular performers of this industry and voices which I have heard several times before but am collaborating here for the first time." Film Director and screenplay writer Sriram Raghavan speaking about the reason behind the success stories of Andhadhund and this year’s IIFA nominations says, “It’s just that I and my actors are lucky to have found each other at the right time and have connected on a certain level. In-fact Ayushman Khurana texted me if he can come and audition for the role, and then we connected instantly and in half an hour he was signed. This year at IIFA we have a lot of nominations for the film and I’m going to have fun.” IIFA Rocks was a night which brought the stars on the ground while they performed live in front of the true connoisseurs of Bollywood, it's very own people. Dhvani Bhanushali opened IIFA Rocks 2019 with her  act on the hit tracks "Leja Re" and "Dilbar" while following her Nakash Aziz, Jonita Gandhi, Ranjit Barot, Kutle Khan, and others brought an array of Bollywood folks songs creating an exotic blend of Rajasthani, Punjabi, Bengali and Marathi folk music with the songs like ‘Ghoomar’  ‘Jugni’, ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ and many more. While The singing sensations Neha Kakkar, Jonita Gandhi, Tulsi Kumar, Jassi Gill, B Praak kept audiences glued to their seats with their power-packed performances. Salim-Suleiman along with a host of singers to include Aditya Narayan, Bhoomi Trivedi, Shalmali Kholgade, Shadab Faridi & Altaf Faridi, Salman Ali and others, paid tribute to 20 years of IIFA. The tribute included songs like ‘Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai, ‘Chupke Se’, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’. Amit Trivedi along with singer Shahid Mallya and others enthralled the audiences with hits like ‘Dariya’, ‘Shaam Shaandaar’,  ‘Emotional Atyachar’ and ‘Manja’ and many more. Adding glamor to the evening celebrity duo Shantanu & Nikhil and Masuuma Namjoshi presented a fashionable mélange of exquisite and gorgeous designs on the ramp which saw Arjun Rampal, Amisha Patel, Urvashi Rautela show shopping the ramp. The magical IIFA Rocks evening celebrated the very best of Indian Cinema with the highest level of achievement through the glamorous IIFA statuette with the felicitation of winners in the Technical categories. Kabir Bedi congratulated the three musketeers of Wizcraft for putting the act together Sabbas Joseph, Andre Timmins, and Viraf Sarkari and began the IIFA awards presentation. One of the highest-grossing Indian films, Andhadhun led the winners list by walking away with 4 awards in the technical category including Screenplay by Sriram Raghavan; Arijit Biswas; Pooja Ladha Surti; Yogesh Chandekar, Editing by Pooja Ladha Surti and Sound Mixing by Ajay Kumar P.B (Post House), Background Score by Daniel B. George. The film Tumbbad won 2 awards in the technical category namely Sound Design by Kunal Sharma and Special Effects and Visuals by Filmgate Films AB. Other notable winners in the Technical category were Sudeep Chatterjee ISC for Best Cinematography, for Padmaavat, Akshat Ghildial for Best Dialogue for Badhaai Ho, Best Choreography to Kruti Mahesh Midya, Jyothi Tommaar for the song Ghoomar from Padmaavat.
