Tumultuous times have been known to bring out stories and instances of bravery, love & kindness that mankind is capable of. While speaking about kinship, Greg Boyle mentioned “There is no 'them' and 'us.' There is only us”. A strong sense of kinship is what singer-songwriter Ankur Tewari, celebrates with his latest single, Woh Hum Nahin, released on Artist Originals (AO), the in-house music label of audio and music streaming service JioSaavn.
Through Woh Hum Nahin, Ankur Tewari – who has previously launched popular tracks such as Dil Beparvah and Dhuaan Dhuaan – captures the spirit of this generation and this time. The track is a step in the direction to use art to express what one feels in difficult times. Combining upbeat music with profound lyrics, Woh Hum Nahin is a peace anthem for everyone facing difficulties.
Speaking about the track, Ankur Tewari said, “Woh Hum Nahin is a celebration of all that is precious: humanity, kindness, and goodness. When things and the environment around us get confusing; and the lines between what is right and what is unacceptable starts to blur - it is important to remember that we are all human. We are living on borrowed time and the best we can do is be the kindest versions of ourselves and use our skills to make the world a better place. With this track, I have tried to do my bit to provide peace to anyone in distress. I would also like to thank the team at JioSaavn for all their support.”
