Spotify Is Stepping Into Live Music

Spotify Is Stepping Into Live Music
In our digital world, everything including music is getting digital. Compact Disks are now past and audio-streaming seems to be promising for the future. In other words, audio-streaming platforms like Wynk, Saavn and several others could hold a great fortune. While these platforms are mainly focusing on South-Asia, Spotify holds a global reach. Recently, Spotify has been trying to step-up their game in the business. Spotify has recently started to get involve in live music. In February of 2018, Spotify advertised to hire to producers in New York to expand their idea of organizing live concerts. In the same context, these producers were to be focused on planning, production and promotion of concerts. June 2017 witnessed another move. Spotify's RapCaviar playlist went live for the first time. The playlist had seven millions streams at that time and had to be turned into a concert. As a matter of fact, this six-date concert including artists like Gucci Mane, MikeWillMadeIt and others. The UK witnessed first Spotify Live gig in the November of 2017. Names like Bugzy Malone, Dizzee Rascal, Giggs, J Hus and Stefflon Don were the main crowd attractions. March 2018, witnessed another RapCaviar stage with Tory Lanez, Migos, Lil Pump, 2 Chainz and others. Likewise, July 4, 2018 is going to witness Hot Country Live. Spotify’s Global Head of Creator Services - Troy Carter has recently announced numbers. He claimed that Spotify has generated more than $40 Million in ticket sales. He promised that a lot of concerts are coming in 2018. Furthermore, he announced that Spotify is bringing their Latin Playlist, Viva Latino! to the stage. Viva Latino! was launched in 2014 and has more than 8.30 million followers. The concert is planned for August 23, 2018 with Daddy Yankee, Becky G and Bad Bunny as the main attraction.

Why Is It Important And What Is The Future?

Everyone has heard about the importance of Spotify as an audio-streaming platform. Likewise, Spotify sales are a crucial part of the revenue that an artist generates. Spotify's step towards event management will bring artists to the front while generating revenues for everyone. Today’s Top Hits Live is also expected this year. Spotify has a plenty of playlists to keep them fresh in terms of content. In fact, Spotify is looking for content distributors and organizers in Indonesia as well. Clearly, Spotify is planning to convert their audience into viewers. However, many countries including India are still waiting for Spotify to launch their services for them. This is an obstacle in Spotify's global reach but reports are suggesting that the launch is near. Spotify's homepage is now requesting non-users to add their e-mail address to notify them about the launch. We're not sure how this is going to turn out but Spotify is nowhere near stopping their moves.
