Mumbai, February 14, 2020: Singer, composer, lyricist and music producer – Chhavi Sodhani has excelled in many areas since the beginning of her career in the music industry. The multitalented artist is now launching her single Banna Re, in collaboration with Artist Originals (AO), JioSaavn’s hit-breaking label for global South Asian artists. Chhavi and Bawa Sahni come together for this fusion track that combines traditional marwadi folk with contemporary composition and quirky lyrics to release this peppy, foot-tapping number.
One of the 12 finalists on the debut season of Sony’s ‘Fame Gurukul’, Chhavi has been in the limelight as a musician since an early age and has participated in multiple concerts as a child artist, in addition to recording various children's albums. She has also been recognised for her work as a composer, winning the award for “Best Music” at the LA LGBT International Film festival 2019 for a short Australian - Indian film titled Yaman. Chhavi has also been provided music to many regional films and webseries, with a Pakistani film in the pipeline, and is also actively pursuing a career in the high-potential indie music space.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Chhavi Sodhani said, “Working on Banna Re was an exhilarating experience. I would like my brand of music, to echo originality, versatility, integrity & soulfulness. It will be my constant endeavour to lay equal emphasis on the lyrics, composition and production of any song that I make and create. I am extremely thankful to the AO team for its support and hope that everyone who streams the song enjoys this fusion of folk and pop.”
