The Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC), the industry-led Sector Skill Council under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KlugKlug (Klug Tech Private Ltd), appointing the platform as its official Influencer Intelligence Platform.
The MoU was formalised during the MESC Board Meeting in the presence of Chairperson Padma Shri Shankar Mahadevan, CEO Dr. Mohit Soni, and Governing Council members Salim Arif and Amit Behl.
The partnership will focus on strengthening MESC’s engagement with India’s growing creator economy through data-driven intelligence. It will support talent discovery, creator partnerships and skill development pathways across the ecosystem.
KlugKlug will provide influencer intelligence to help identify emerging talent, assess audiences and engagement, and enable more transparent partnerships across the creator economy.
Founded in 2022, KlugKlug uses AI-powered technology to provide audience insights, authenticity checks, engagement analysis and campaign intelligence. The platform claims a database of 455 million creators globally, including 14 million in India across Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, and works with brands and agencies across India and more than 28 countries.
Commenting on the partnership, Padma Shri Shankar Mahadevan, Chairperson, MESC, said, “The creator economy is one of the most dynamic forces shaping media, entertainment, and youth aspirations today. By partnering with KlugKlug as our official Creator Intelligence Platform, MESC is equipping the ecosystem with world-class data and insights to boost this emerging economy.”
Dr. Mohit Soni, CEO, MESC, said the collaboration would help the council identify emerging talent, develop relevant programmes and connect creators with opportunities.
Kalyan Kumar, Co-Founder & CEO, KlugKlug, said, “We are honoured to partner with MESC as its official Influencer Intelligence Platform. Together we will use data to skill talent, build transparent partnerships, and elevate India’s global creator footprint.”
The partnership comes as the creator economy continues to expand across media, entertainment, brands and digital platforms, with data and skills increasingly becoming key components of creator discovery and professionalisation.
