Music Broadcast Limited, which operates Radio City, reported a net profit of Rs 6.68 crore for the second quarter of FY27, reversing a net loss of Rs 6.88 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company’s revenue from operations rose 8.2% year-on-year to Rs 40.96 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with Rs 37.84 crore in Q2 FY26, according to its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.
The company also reported an operating profit of Rs 6.15 crore for the quarter, compared with an operating loss of Rs 5.49 crore in the year-ago period.
For the first half of FY27, spanning April to September 2026, Music Broadcast posted a net profit of Rs 15.91 crore, against a net loss of Rs 9.05 crore in the corresponding period last year.
However, revenue from operations for the six-month period declined to Rs 85.50 crore from Rs 87.17 crore a year earlier, marking a decrease of approximately 1.9%.
The quarterly results indicate an improvement in profitability despite a marginal decline in half-year revenue. The company’s performance will continue to be shaped by advertising demand, cost management and evolving dynamics in the radio broadcasting sector.
