The Kapoor family met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Wednesday for a special interaction ahead of the upcoming Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival.
The gathering included prominent members of the Kapoor clan such as Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. A video shared by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) captured the family reflecting on their experiences following the meeting.
One particularly endearing moment occurred when actress Alia Bhatt engaged in a light-hearted exchange with PM Modi. Alia asked, “Kya aap gaane sun paate hain?” (Do you get time to listen to music?), to which the Prime Minister replied warmly, “Main sun pata hoon kyunki mujhe achha lagta hai. Kabhi mauka mil jata hai toh main zaroor sun leta hoon.” (I do listen because I enjoy it. Whenever I get the chance, I do listen).
Alia also shared a touching anecdote during the conversation, mentioning a recent video she had seen of PM Modi during his Africa visit. In the clip, a soldier was singing a song from one of her films. “Maine ek clip dekha tha jahaan aap ek jawan ke sath khade the aur vo mera gana gaa rahe the. Kafi logo ne mujhe vo bheja aur sab log bahut khush ho gaye.” (I saw a clip of you standing with a soldier singing my song. Many people sent me that clip, and everyone was so happy), she said, expressing her joy at witnessing the heartwarming moment.
