Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s Brand Ambassador DRUM TAO Concludes India Tour

Renowned Japanese percussion ensemble DRUM TAO has concluded its high-energy India tour, presented in association with Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), where the group serves as brand ambassador. The 40-day tour celebrated cultural exchange between India and Japan through music, performance and shared artistic expression.

The tour opened with vibrant performances at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Shillong and the Hornbill Music Festival in Kohima, before travelling across Vijayawada, Chennai, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Guwahati, Varanasi, Mumbai, Pune and the Andaman Islands. The journey culminated in a powerful finale in Bengaluru.

Across 15 performances, DRUM TAO’s signature taiko drumming, precise synchronisation and visually striking stagecraft captivated an estimated audience of nearly 70,000 people nationwide, generating strong interest across age groups, particularly among younger audiences.

Commenting on the tour’s conclusion, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the response reaffirmed the growing appetite among Indian audiences for global cultural experiences. He added that the collaboration reflected Toyota’s philosophy of “Mass Happiness” by bringing together rhythm, creativity and shared experiences, and hinted at the possibility of a larger and more ambitious partnership with DRUM TAO in the coming year.
