Saregama Launches Carvaan Live, An Immersive Music Experience Across Indian Cities

In a bid to reimagine nostalgia-driven listening for a live audience, Saregama is set to roll out Carvaan Live, an intimate, interactive concert format inspired by its iconic Carvaan platform.

Announced by Deepa Bajaj, who leads Strategy Planning and Analysis at the company, the initiative aims to transform the familiar, retro listening experience into a participatory, on-ground musical journey. The format invites audiences to not just listen, but sing along, blending curated classics with a live, communal atmosphere.

“India is not short of talent, but of opportunity and infrastructure,” Bajaj noted in her announcement, underlining that the past decade has focused on building both. She emphasized that Carvaan Live is as much about showcasing undiscovered voices as it is about catering to audiences seeking experiences beyond conventional concerts.

The show is positioned as an “intimate, sit-down, sing-along” format, departing from large-scale arena spectacles and instead focusing on emotional connection and shared nostalgia. Audiences are encouraged to participate actively, echoing the ethos of the original Carvaan device, which brought curated music libraries into Indian homes.

The multi-city rollout will cover Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi, with tickets available via BookMyShow.

Bajaj also acknowledged key collaborators behind the project, including arranger-composer Tushar Lall, along with Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar, who have supported the vision of building a platform for independent and trained artists under a legacy label.

With Carvaan Live, Saregama appears to be tapping into the growing demand for curated, experience-led live entertainment, bridging the gap between analog nostalgia and modern audience engagement.
