Rishab Rikhiram Sharma Announces ‘Sitar For Mental Health’ North America And Europe Fall Tour

Sitar virtuoso and mental health advocate Rishab Rikhiram Sharma has announced the United Kingdom, Canada and United States leg of his acclaimed Sitar For Mental Health tour, taking his immersive blend of Indian classical music, mindfulness and wellbeing to some of the world’s most iconic live music venues.

The international tour will open on October 1 at London’s Royal Albert Hall, followed by five dates across North America. Sharma will perform at Capital One Hall in Washington, D.C. on November 18, The Theatre at Great Canadian Toronto on November 19, Carnegie Hall in New York City on November 21, Paramount Theatre in Oakland on November 23, and The United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles on November 24.

The routing marks a significant milestone in Sharma’s career, placing his contemporary approach to Indian classical music on stages with a long history of hosting some of the world’s most influential performers. As a disciple of the legendary Pandit Ravi Shankar, Sharma’s performances at venues such as Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall also carry a deeper connection to the global legacy of the sitar.

Rather than opting for stadium-scale productions, Sharma is focusing on an intimate and immersive concert experience designed to bring audiences closer to the music.

“The intention is to dissolve the barrier between the artist and the audience and to place the attendees directly at the heart of the experience. I want people to close their eyes, surrender to the sound and leave feeling lighter, grounded and deeply reminded of our shared human connection,” Sharma said.

The international announcement comes following the success of Sharma’s Sitar For Mental Health India Tour, which drew more than 100,000 attendees and established a strong audience for spiritual and neo-classical live music formats in the country. The India tour also saw the unveiling of SITARA, a next-generation electric sitar custom-made by Sanjay Rikhi Ram.

A fourth-generation member of Delhi’s Rikhi Ram family of instrument makers, Sharma has steadily built an international profile through performances at prominent global platforms. His career highlights include a solo performance at the White House during President Joe Biden’s 2022 Diwali celebration, a 60,000-capacity performance at NRG Stadium in Houston for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and an appearance at the Woodstock 50 Reunion, honouring Pandit Ravi Shankar’s original 1969 performance.

Founded in 2020, Sitar For Mental Health is a global live-music initiative that combines Indian classical music with mindfulness and sound healing. Over the past five years, the platform has evolved into a movement connecting Indian classical music with younger audiences, particularly Gen Z, while positioning music as a medium for mental wellbeing and human connection.
