Palm Expo 2018:

The18th edition of PALM Expo India’s foremost platform for stage, entertainment venue and music creation and production technology saw local and international pro audio, lighting, and audiovisual manufacturers convening to showcase cutting edge technology on the expo floor. The focus was on Audiovisual. For the first time the AV industry got the opportunity to reach out to its potential market by exhibiting to over 21000 unique visitors directly or indirectly involved in AV technology. The Palm Expo began on 31st May 2018 and ended on 2nd June 2018. Featured at Palm Expo 2018

Palm Conferences & Seminars:

Curated by PALM technology magazine, it is the learning and networking platform where the best talent and high caliber top notch professionals from the country and across the world, share their expertise, skills and knowledge on technology and industry trends through a range of topics covering pro audio & light, AV Install & Integration and Music Production.

The three-day Conference & Seminar Program were held at the International Lounge in the Hall 1 Mezzanine, offering an ideal networking environment and provide for an interactive exchange of ideas and knowledge. Conferences at this years 2018 were held on topics like Microphone technology for live entertainment, Breeding Nextgen Music Talent and Has Bollywood Music failed ? The Conference and Seminar hall hosted speakers like Rahul Samuels, Vijay Purandare, Ashish Manchanda. Palm Conferences and Seminars was partnered by Yamaha. Day 1 started with a seminar on Measuring and Aligning Subwoofers by Rahul Samuels followed by a seminar on How to successfully use Dante for Live Sound Events by Andy Cooper then a seminar on Microphones by Kishore Banan. The final two events were a seminar on OSRAM - THE EXPERT IN ENTERTAINMENT LIGHTING by Pavel Ptacek and DOES SIZE MATTER? a discussion on using bigger boxes or is good systems engineering in a knowledgeable manner the key to deliver big sound. Day 2 began with Acoustics in Auditorium Design by Vijay Purandare and followed by seminars on LED LIGHTING CONTROL AND ITS IMPACT ON DESIGN FOR INSTALLED VENUES and WOW FACTOR BY THE HELP OF AUDIO VIDEO by Rajeev Arora. Day 3 saw Ashish Manchanda conducting a seminar on breeding Nextgen Talent followed by a discussion on Has Bollywood Music failed us? Sreejesh Nair held a class on Dolby Atmos Mixing - Concepts and Techniques. Post lunch there were seminars on STRATEGIZING DIVERSE APPROACHES TO SOUND DESIGN AND SYNC SOUND POST PRODUCTION FOR FILMS and ended with Indian Recording Arts Academy Awards.

PALM Soundscape:

The PALM Soundscape programme has been instrumental in bringing together top decision makers and influencers, shaping the present and future of the DJ, electronic music production & entertainment industries. The Palm Soundscape curated by Reji held discussions and seminars on topics like Artist Management, Repertoire, Publishing, Big Festival Sounds, Lights, Copy Rights Socities and Touring. Palm Soundscape hosted panelists like Frank Kahn, Asad Zaidi, Siddharth Kapoor, Mae Thomas, Abhishek Patil, Mo Joshi, Munbir Chawla, Ravindra Pathak and more. The DJ championship eliminations were held on the first day and finale at the end of the 2nd day. Palm Soundscape was partnered by Denon DJ, Antelope Audio and Ohm Sound System. Day 1 saw workshop on Denon DJ followed by panel on Psychedelic Trance by Nitin Mahajan, Asad Zaidi, Tarun Shahani and Brian Fernandes. After lunch a Lights and Visuals panel was held by Dhanya Pilo, Nikunj Patel and Gaurav Bhambri and ended with DJ championship eliminations. Day 2 started with a panel on Artist Management with Sidhhart Kapoor, Ayush Arora, Nishat Gadhok, Rahul Sinha and hosted by Mae Thomas. After that a masterclass conducted by Karan Vig on the new Roland DJ808. Post lunch seminars on Sound, Artist Repertoire and Copy Right Societies were held. Day 2 ended with the DJ championship finale. Day 3 began on a Touring Seminar and ended with a discussion on delivering big festivals.

Harman Live Arena:

The 9th Edition of Harman Live arena featured the JBL Professional VTX A12 line array system performing the P.A. duty, along with the Soundcraft Vi3000 console and the range of Martin Professional lights. Artistes ranging from Taufiq Qureshi, Sivamani, Samira Koppikar, Adil Manuel, Coshish and Daira to Ranjit Barot and Louiz Banks showcased their talent using Harman products. Day 1 saw performances by A Sivamni  & Harmreet Manseta, Kabir Cafe, Samira Koppikar, Mitali Khargaonkar Collective, Taufiq Qureshi and his band Mumbai Stamp. Day 2 saw performances by Daira, V. Selvaganeh, & S. Swaminathan, Dipesh Verma Ft. Shikhar Naad, Satyajit &Taal Mantra, Ravi Chary Crossing, Adil Mauel Collective. Day 3 saw perfromances by Giridhar Udupa and friends, Coshish, Louiz Banks Guitar Synergy, Niladri Kumar, Ranjeet Barot presents Superphonic& Musafir.
Music Inc. is a conference that aimed at finding solutions on how to improve the packaging of music as a product by aligning it to media, advertising, brands and technology. The conference is a push towards a collaborative effort for creating innovative music experiences.
