Food, Art, Music & A Lot Of Beer at Lager n Barrel !

North India's first and one of its kind beer and music festival is back with the third edition. Marking the beginning of Oktoberfest this year, Delhi NCR witnessed Gaana Lager N Barrel festival which was co-presented by Carling Club GLasses and hosted at the Kingdom of Dreams, Gurugram on October 6th & 7th, 2017.

The festival is an individual property of Speed Records and EYP creations aim at adding some happiness quotient among people lives through music. From appetizing food to great music performances by artists that included some big names from the music industry like Mohammed Irfan, Divya Kumar, Shefali Alvare, Akhil Sachdeva, Parmish Verma, Milind Gaba, Gurnazar Live, DJ Sumit Sethi fest had everything to cater the food and music lover.

Mayuri Gupta, the co-founder of the event told us, "EYP Creations started 3 years back by 3 college friends with an aim to create something that was different than the rest. So me and my friends being the hardcore lovers of beer came up with the idea of Beer festival that should be unique. We started from Chandigarh with a limited audience but with time we have seen a huge crowd coming up. It is our second year of partnership with Carling Club Glasses and they'll be launching few more products in India soon."

She further added, "Art is an important part of the festival, where we try to come up with a new idea every time. This time we have life- size beer bottle installations where we have used 6000 spare bottles. We have prepared few games for our attendees that will take them back to the memory lane of their childhood like Staipo, tic-tac-toe, limbo and more."

Badrinath ki dulhaniya fame singer, Akhil Sachdeva performed electro Sufi set for the first time and told us, " I am really excited and looking forward to a great event. As this is the first time I have tried something different than the regular of what I do, so I've been practicing quite a lot for this. I've been doing the college fests, corporate parties but this is the beneficial platform to perform and connect with the general crowd of all the ages and regions, that actually doubles up my excitement."

 

The Turn-Out Was Promising!

The event witnessed a huge number of crowd in two days approximately 4000 plus people coming.  Bollywood singers Mohammad Irfan, Divya kumar, Shefali Alvares created an exotic Bollywood theme night where crowd tapped feet on their hit bollywood numbers. Singers engaged the crowd by singing along with them, by dancing on the stage and a lot of interaction. Quite a good connection was seen between the artists and people which also adds a major reason for such a big and a hit event. The ethnicity of sufism with the vibrant electronic music created a different arena for music lovers.

All That Beer!

Moving on to the another main attraction of the event BEER, Carling, Corona ,Thunderbolt were on the menu being served. Adding to the taste buds, the beer was served in different styles. Varieties of cocktails, keeping beer as the sole component fascinated the crowd. It was available for tasting and also for the purchasing purpose.

   

Drool Over Lip-Smacking Snacks!

Food stalls offered the scrumptious food satisfying the taste buds of the crowd. Variety of food stalls emphasized on the north Indian and Chinese cuisine. People enjoyed the various lip-smacking snacks direct from the tandoor. Attendees enjoyed the delightful Paneer tikka with every sip of their beer listening to the awesome music. In short, the event was a good treat for both ears and the mouth.

Talking about the partnership with GAANA, it's the first private venture of the company at such a big level. Gaana has wow-ed the people earlier also with their great music availability and this time they have come up with a bigger picture with its partnership with the EYP creations marking the first successful year of their new venture. Hopeful this is a longterm partnership with Gaana.com, more than a one-time transaction.

On The Art Installations

Art and creativity were seen everywhere. Different photo booths were made keeping the theme of the event in the mind. Adding more surprise and fun for the crowd, it is the only Indian festival to have custom Snapchat filters. As these days it is said, ''If it's not on social media, did it really even happened?'' People were seen clicking selfies and taking pictures with the art installations piled up in different shapes. Keeping the music theme in the mind, a huge headphone decor was seen on the entrance.  #LNB symbol that depicts the name of the event, took the attention of the crowd.

The Way Forward!

Organizers aim to take the PAN India and wish to spread the culture and the festival across the country involving metro cities like Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune. As the event started in the two-tier city Chandigarh and moved to Delhi and Delhi NCR, by the next year the event would be involving at least two more new cities. So let's keep fingers crossed, you never know it might be your city next time.

In all, the entire event witnessed a huge success as it was a complete package of good food, music, games and diverse variety of beers that were available for tasting and purchasing giving a perfect end to the long week.
