Kerala-based radio station Club FM has achieved a significant international milestone, becoming the only Indian radio station to be recognised at the prestigious New York Festivals Radio Awards 2026.
The station secured a Silver Tower in the Craft: Sound – Multi-Platform Promotion category for its entry Maveli Mood, while also earning a Finalist Certificate in the Promotion/Open ID category for Twice Is Wise, a campaign created in partnership with Federal Bank.
The recognition places Club FM among the world's leading radio brands and highlights its continued commitment to innovation, creativity and audience-centric storytelling. For nearly a decade, the station has consistently earned accolades at the New York Festivals Radio Awards, one of the most respected global platforms celebrating excellence in radio, audio storytelling and broadcast creativity.
Maveli Mood, which won the Silver Tower, was conceived as a high-production audio experience blending humour, emotion, satire and cinematic storytelling. The project stood out for its creative use of sound and multi-platform engagement, earning recognition from an international jury.
Commenting on the achievement, Mayura Shreyams Kumar, Director – Digital Business, Mathrubhumi Group, said, "We are honoured that Club FM has been recognised among the world's leading radio broadcasters. Established in 1957, the New York Festivals Radio Awards honour excellence in broadcast audio content across genres and platforms. Entries for the 2026 edition were evaluated by a Grand Jury comprising 100 leading audio professionals from 20 countries. Submissions were judged on criteria including creativity, production quality, writing, direction, content presentation, audience suitability and achievement of purpose.
The latest recognition further strengthens Club FM's reputation as one of India's most awarded radio brands and underscores the growing global recognition of Indian audio storytelling and creative excellence.
