Red FM, India's private radio network, has teamed up with Western Railway to produce a music video featuring RJ Malishka, aimed at fostering a stronger connection between commuters and the Western Railway. Titled 'Lay Bhaari,' the song encapsulates the vibrant spirit of Mumbai and its distinctive relationship with the Western Railway.
In the video, RJ Malishka documents the lives of city residents and various scenarios across more than five stations of the Western Railway, including notable locations such as the Western Railway Heritage Gallery at Churchgate, EMU Carshed at Mumbai Central, Yard, and Train Management System at Mumbai Central.
Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, praised the 'Lay Bhaari' song for using authentic Mumbai lingo to raise awareness among passengers about the importance of adhering to rules and regulations for a safe and enjoyable train journey. The song also conveys social messages related to station security, special provisions for women and Divyangjan passengers, avoiding boarding or alighting from moving trains, and refraining from traveling on the footboard.
Nisha Narayanan, COO and Director of Red FM and Magic FM, highlighted that the collaboration with Western Railway goes beyond a traditional partnership. She sees the song 'Lay Bhaari' as a celebration of the symbiotic relationship between the people of Mumbai and the Western Railway. Emphasizing the brand's commitment to social responsibility and innovation, Narayanan added, "Malishka, with her unparalleled energy, captures the essence of Mumbai. The sounds of Mumbai, including railway announcements, are intricately woven into the melody, creating an immersive experience that resonates with the spirit of the city."
Engaging over 200,000 individuals, the initiative inspired thousands to pledge their support, spreading a profound message of compassion and hope.
