#AVoiceIsAllYouNeed Ad Campaign by Amazon

Amazon Music has recently launched a new ad campaign promoting the use of their voice assistant Alexa for their music streaming service. Users can simply ask Alexa to play songs by their favored artists thus promoting Alexa’s simplicity.

The ad campaign ‘A Voice is All You Need’ features leading artists like Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Queen and Kane Brown. The first video features ‘All the Stars” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. The 30 second clip star features animated lip syncing of their track ending with the user directing Alexa to play ‘All the Stars’ on Amazon Music. This paid streaming service can be used for free as a 30 day free trial.

Globally the use of Amazon Music on Alexa based devices has doubled over the past six months. Amazon Music has recently surpassed 20 million paying subscribers which includes both its premium Music Unlimited subscribers and its Amazon Prime members, who are offered a limited-catalog platform for free.

This ad campaign comes at a time when Amazon is leading against rivals like Apple Music and Spotify with innovating their voice assistant technology. The campaign developed by global agency Wieden+Kennedy celebrates Amazon Music’s growth in these recent months by focusing on lyrics, vocals and voice with Alexa, and branches across online and outdoor activity.

A new ad has come up at Times Square to push Ariana Grande’s new album – Sweetner. The huge digital billboard ad starts with the ‘A Voice is All You Need’ phrase, then turns rainbow colored with a pic from the album and the text: “Alexa Play New Ariana Grande.”
